Best barrel especially for price!

This barrel is just what I was looking for to fit on my aero precision upper. The fit is so precise, and the aesthetics are sure to please. There was not a single deformity in the barrel when it arrived which is great to find for this price. Most places sell a throw away generic barrel for the price of this high quality precision barrel. The 6 flutes on the front and back are also flawless. The best part of buying from x-caliber is their amazing customer service. If you email them within their hours you usually get a response that day. Amazing! Thank you X-caliber for such a great product!

Outstanding Product and Customer Service!

I could not have been happier when I received and unwrapped the barrel for my Aero Precision M5E build. Machining was perfect, fit and finish were top-notch, and it was EXACTLY as ordered. The customer service was awesome too - the X-caliber rep I talked to was great, we discussed fluting options and I ultimately felt comfortable with the specifics of my order - 24" Cromo, heavy contour, 8" twist, in .243 Win. If the attention to detail in producing my custom barrel is an indication, I full expect that this rifle will be a tack driver. I will certainly be doing more business with X-caliber and will steer my shooting buddies to their products.

Great Customer Service and Outstanding Workmanship!

Submitted my order on-line then about a week later I second guessed my fluting selection from all the options available. I called and spoke to a rep who was extremely helpful in helping me decide on the fluting configuration and without hesitation change my order. It was obvious that he was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about X-Caliber's products and building barrels that meet customers' expectations. I could not be happier with the end result, the barrel's fit and finish is absolutely flawless and fit my Aero Precision upper beautifully. I also ordered the pepperpot compensator which was a perfect match to the barrel. I don't think you could get a better experience, higher quality, and greater value anywhere else. I will be coming back to X-Caliber for my next AR upper build and Savage re-barrel.

AWESOME Barrel and Customer Service

I had purchased a custom made 10 1/2 inch barrel for my AR-10 SBR that I had built and I can't begin to tell you how excited I was when it finally arrived and I had it installed. It fit like a dream and shot even better. I am a HUGE fan of the quality of the products offered and especially by their customer service, which I have found to be outstanding in every way and I couldn't be more pleased. I would strongly recommend that you purchase your barrels from X-
Caliber.

Phenomenal Barrel!!

I ordered a 24" 1-8" 6.5 Creedmoor, stainless fluted rifle length gas system with cryo treatment. With hornady superformance 129 grain sst, im getting half inch groups at 100. That kind of accuracy with a factory load!! well worth the money and the wait!! I cant wait to start reloading for this beast!

True Craftsmanship

Ordered stainless steel barrel, 30 caliber chambered in 308 Win., 18'' barrel length with mid length gas system, cryogenics and RCA bolt carrier group. Worked very well with Smith & Wesson M&P 10. Extension fit very snug into receiver witch is a good thing. Shot 4 clover leafs in a row all others were 3/4 inch groups and less @ 100 yards off of caldwell AR shooting bags.The RCA blacknitride BCG cleaned up very easily no carbon build up wiped clean with a paper towel used CLP just for the heck of it. Received my new barrel, perfectly made as usual.
Installed it last night, shot it for the first time this morning. Lights out perfect. No break-in - just swabbed the barrel a few times to remove any dirt and grime from shipping. Even with factory ammo a little light for the twist rate, it shot under 1/2" (from a gas gun) at 100. Maintained sub-3/4" out to 600.

Specs are above. I’ve had this barrel for a few years now. My amazing results with my .257 Bob savage prefix prompted my making this review. I ordered a barrel for a PSA PA-10. I elected for .308 as this was my first large frame AR at the time and PA-10’s are hybrids, so I went with a barrel that didn’t cost a ton of it didn’t work out. It definitely worked out.

I installed this barrel, and let me tell you, it was snug going into the upper. Xcaliber holds tight tolerances or PSA does. Not sure. Use plenty of aero shell when installing. Gas block journal was especially snug. I used a Superlative Arms adjustable, and it needs to be lined up perfectly or tapping it back off is going to mat the barrel. It was such a snug fit that I used a tiny bit of grease to ease fitment and avoid falling the journal. Once on, the set screws are tightened into the divots I drilled. I used rocksett and allowed a few days and some heat to set before test firing. Once everything was set, I test fired with American eagle fmj 148 ammo, and set my gas. My gas port was drilled larger, which I don’t think is necessary. The SA gas blocks are great at controlling the gas and .308 has plenty of it. I have 9 clicks out for functionality. I began to start dialing in the scope. I used Federal Gold Medal Match 168 gr BTHP ammo. 5 shots printed right at 1/2” at 100 and I had made no scope adjustments. I have an M308 Nikon scope in a one piece AR height scope mount. Barrel fed and ejected without issue. This PA-10’s barrel holds nearly the same accuracy, with the same ammo as my Howa 20” Heavy Barrel .308. I’ve ordered three barrels from XCaliber and have yet to be disappointed. I have another savage action I got in a trade, that needs a new barrel. Bet you can’t guess where I’m going to purchase it from.
