I’ve got a straight contour carbon fiber barrel chambered up in 6.5 creedmoor on my impact action. It’s hard to explain how awesome this barrel is. No matter what ammo I put in it it seems to shoot under 3/4 moa. I’ve used this barrel at the nrl hunter matches and I managed to take 8th place in New Mexico. I’ll be getting another for a big horn origin hunting rifle I’m putting together.

Overall a nice barrel. Borescope photos show a very nicely polished bore. Was not able to find any defects or tooling marks. The exterior finish is nice and clean. Again, overall, a nice barrel. Initial accuracy testing is showing promise.
Docking 1 star for 2 reasons.
Advertised weight of 2 lbs 14 oz is inaccurate. Mine weighed 3 lbs 3 oz before machining.
The BIG one, the curve on this barrel is HUGE! I dialed in the first few inches of the chamber end to under 0.0002 total indicator reading so that the reamer would cut perfectly square to the bore (Gordy Gritters technique). After this the TIR on the muzzle end was .075"! I thought I had made a mistake so I checked it 3 times. This barrel is relatively shaped like a banana.
I probably should have contacted X-caliber but I needed to get this rifle done so I proceeded anyway. I clocked the curve up to the 12 o'clock position so maybe in the end it will be an advantage when I get to stretch it out. Time will tell.
